If you are applying for a work visa, please prepare the following documents:

Once you have gathered all the necessary documents, follow these steps:

• Scan and submit your documents – Email all scanned copies to either us or your employer.
• Employer submits documents online – Your employer will upload your documents to the Foreign Expert Bureau's online system. This approval process typically takes 1-3 weeks.
• In-person submission to the Bureau – After online approval, your employer will submit physical copies of your documents to the Foreign Expert Bureau in person. This step usually takes an additional 1-2 weeks for approval.
• Work Permit Notification issued – Once approved, your employer can download the Work Permit Notification and email it to you.
• Apply for your work visa (Z Visa) – Print out the Work Permit Notification and submit your Work Visa application at the Chinese Embassy/Consulate in your home country.
• Receive your work visa & travel to China – Once your work visa is approved, you are ready to travel to China.
• Obtain your Work Permit & Residence Permit – Upon arrival, your employer will assist you in obtaining your Work Permit and Residence Permit.
• Start working legally in China – Once you have your Work and Residence Permits, you can legally work and travel in and out of China until the permit expires.
