Teach English in China with Full Support
We are partnering with Griffith English Language Institute (GELI) to recruit English language teachers for an exciting international teaching opportunity with Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (JUFE), located in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, China.
Successful candidates will first undertake a 5-week paid teaching placement at GELI in Australia before departing for China in September. This provides a structured transition into the role and helps ensure teachers are well prepared before commencing at JUFE.

Salary and Benefits
- Salary: AUD $50,000 per year (after tax) – competitive for English teaching jobs in China
- Completion bonus: AUD $10,000 upon successful completion of contract
- Accommodation: Furnished 1-bedroom on-campus apartment provided
- Flights: One return airfare per contract
- Visa/permits: Working visa reimbursed
- Insurance: Basic health insurance provided for contract duration
- Medical check: Reimbursed upon arrival
- Payment: Paid monthly into an Australian or Chinese bank account
- Leave:
- Up to 10 days unpaid personal leave
- Public holidays: Chinese national holidays observed
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor degree or above (Education, English, TESOL or related field preferred)
- Experience: Teaching experience preferred for English teaching positions in China (graduates welcome)
- Language: Strong English communication skills
- Availability: Able to complete a 5-week teaching placement starting 29th Jun 2026 in Australia (GELI) prior to departure
- Start date: Available to teach in China starting either 31st Aug or 7th Sep 2026
- Compliance: Able to obtain a full Australian Federal Police check

Important information
- Utilities are to be paid by the teacher
- Meals are not provided
- Teachers are required to obtain and pay for personal accident insurance to cover the first 30 days after arrival
